Mike shares his journey into fly fishing:

I am a USGC Licensed Captain, retired from the Marine Corps after 23 years of service, but I always had a fly rod wherever I went. Now, I am exploring the world of guiding, tarpon tournaments and fishing the world. My wife and I have decided to root ourselves in Oahu, HI. We live in what's considered the bonefish capital of the world, with plenty of shots at fish over 7 pounds.  Most of the fishing will be done wading the flats or by skiff.

How I got started:

I have been fly fishing for over 20 years but have taken it to a higher level in the past 10 years by tying my flies and traveling the world to catch different fish species. I absolutely love getting people tight on fish and hearing that drag scream. Even better are the smiles.
